ELE E 694: Master of Engineering Design Project

Title: Asynchronous Circuit Execution Analysis Software

Professor: Rajit Manohar

Project consists of development of a software program to map and analyze bottlenecks in large-scale asynchronous circuits under simulation. This software will also record and compare idle periods of (hardware) processes, showing a developer which processes would potentially benefit most from optimization. The software will consist of three layers:

1. A simulation-log parser that constructs data structures internal to the program (10%)

2. A non-graphical tool that analyzes the topology and execution times of the process network (50%)

3. A graphical interface to the program, possibly showing spatial representations of process connections and other information pertinent to performance enhancement. (40%)
